Georges Carcassonne Tenor

georges carcassonne tenor

1930s Carcassonne tenor banjo Georges Carcassonne ran a shop in Rue d'Enghien in Paris where he built and sold musical instruments. His company and its lyre symbol (seen on his instruments), were registered in 1912. A trade advertisement from the 1930s offers Banjo Jazz Band Wholesale Prices. This professional-level tenor banjo has American-style tone ring and resonator. The resonator is decorated with intricate wood and pearl marquetry designs. The tailpiece, like the company symbol, is in the shape of a lyre.
